Good day and a warm hello back from my travel blog. It has been almost 60 hours since my last blog entry. So, this will be a slightly longer entry than the previous ones.
On Saturday, we set off towards Yosemite National Park. The route was supposed to take about 4 hours. The first stop was at a burger joint that offered gluten-free burgers. For Flo, it was the culinary highlight of the day. Afterwards, we continued towards 'hot springs', which turned out to be open hot tubs in the wilderness. So, we broke away from the final destination Yosemite Park. On the way, we made an emergency stop at the hospital. Let's just say that all the passengers are still alive and well :P.
In the evening, we checked into the lodge for the next two nights.
On Sunday, it was time to get up early and head directly into the park. After a short detour by my navigator, we safely reached our destination 'Yosemite Valley'. Then we started the hike of the day. We chose to climb to one of the waterfalls and realized that we had underestimated our fitness level. Once we reached the top, we took the obligatory group photo and then descended the altitude. Finally, we drove to another viewpoint by car and started the evening early.
Today, on Monday, we headed to San Francisco. We chose to travel through the north and took pictures in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we continued to the hostel and immediately marched into the city. We immediately conquered the pier and Chinatown, and then crawled tired into the bed.
Stay up to date in the next few days, until then :)
