I arrived in Jakarta at 7 o'clock in the morning. I couldn't check in at the hotel yet, so I went for a walk. It wasn't very nice, to be honest. There is an insane amount of traffic here, and as a result, the air is also very polluted. It's also super loud, hot, and not pedestrian-friendly at all. Not a good combination when you've been on the road for what feels like 24 hours. So I quickly went back to the hotel, ordered room service for the first time ever, and slept in. The next day, I took my first train ride to Yogykarta in the morning. It was super easy; I went to the ticket counter and then to one of the 4 platforms. There were a lot of porters lined up next to each other, helping people store their thousand things on the train. I was really annoyed because I forgot to mention at the counter that I would like a window seat. But I still managed to see a lot of the scenery. At the end of the day, I'm looking forward to my first dorm bed!
