Hello friends,
today our day started relatively early, at 8:30 a.m. We packed our last things, brushed our teeth, had breakfast, and then checked out.
At half past nine, the Uber picked us up and took us to the location of our camper. When we arrived there, we had to read and sign a lot of things and received an instruction.
After 1 1/2 hours, we finally got our camper 🤩. But then the battery didn't work and we had to wait another half an hour 😴. But then our camper was ready and our next adventure could begin.
Since Mareike was feeling much better than in the last few days, but still not completely well, I drove today. I have to say, even during my driving test, I wasn't as focused as today! 😅 A big car, in the middle of the city, and then driving on the left side, Hallelujah.
When our car failed in the middle of the mountain, despite being in 1st gear, letting go of the clutch and pressing the gas, our car rolled backwards instead of forwards, panic set in for both me and Mareike. But then a 'savior in need' came 😅 a very kind man helped us get off the intersection.
Today, we decided to drive to South Bank again and go swimming at the Street Beach. We found a parking lot, which was not cheap, went to the ATM and wanted to pay. But the ATM did not accept our money and a woman helped us. In the end, she paid for her ticket with a credit card and simply gave it to us, she just gave us the parking ticket. 🤩
After the Street Beach, we looked for a nearby campground and drove there. 🚐 This one is free and very nice. We cooked pasta with tomato sauce for dinner and had a salad as a side dish. After dinner, we 'settled' our camper a bit.
Now we are in the camper, with the door still open, because it is so hot that it is unbearable. But we will go to sleep soon, so in that sense, good night! 😴
Greetings from Beenleigh, Australia! 🥰
Yours, Jojo 💫
