Hiberniae

Published: 05.07.2023

A long time ago, we left Nazare, where we had been touring all the crass churches in the area in the last few days, and drove back to Spain and visited the host family again on the way. From Bilbao (Spain) we took the ferry across the Atlantic to Ireland in 30 hours. We've been here for 2 days now in a small, green holiday home that has a nice but a bit strange owner. 80 couples is rented. Yesterday we were in a small town called Bantry and looked at the area. Among other things, the Bantry House, an old country house, which was a bit dilapidated but still quite impressive. Today we drove a little further away. We stroked a donkey and looked at sheep and a lighthouse on the really beautiful Sheeps Head peninsula. Towards the end it did start to rain and wind, as it almost always does here, but it was still very nice. It really is as green here as people say and there are sheep everywhere. Totally great!
