Day 8: Rock 'n' Roller

Published: 19.03.2019

After breakfast at the hotel, we packed our backpacks as we would be leaving Sapa again in the evening. Luckily, we could store our luggage in the lobby while we continued to explore the beautiful landscape for another day. To see the nature beyond the city, we rented a scooter. First, we drove further north into the mountains, where we made a stop at a nature park. There, we went on a short hike through the jungle. Along the way, we spotted some water buffaloes bathing in the mud. We walked along the river until we finally arrived at the beautiful "Love Waterfall". We stayed there for a while, enjoying the tranquility of nature and watching the water trickle down. After that, we made our way back to Sapa, with a quick stop at "Heaven's Gate", to have something to eat after the challenging hike. Energized with a warm meal, we drove to another viewpoint south of Sapa, which offered a magnificent view of the endless rice fields. In the evening, we spent a good two hours at a restaurant with one of the nicest people we had the pleasure to meet, until our bus to Hanoi finally departed at night.
