After our extensive breakfast, we were picked up from the hotel by a pre-arranged taxi at 10:30 am.
The journey took one and a half hours to the Floating Market in Nirvana, where we waited.
We already know the traffic chaos from the cars, but what is happening here is beyond belief: I hope the pictures speak for themselves.
Here is organized chaos.
Everyone is nice and polite to everyone else - every living being is fully respected!
... well, except maybe this dog that was painted for Songkran!
The tour, which cost almost €150 for 3 people, also included a visit to a temple and a coconut sugar factory. In the coconut sugar factory, sugar is made from coconuts.
In the temple, we fully enjoyed the peace and serenity - here are a few impressions!
After that, we continued by boat, passing various shops that offer all kinds of goods.
After almost two hours, we were let out again and finally visited the 'Train Market'.
Here, the shops are simply folded up - like in India - when the train comes and then reopened afterwards!
Well, I wouldn't necessarily buy raw meat at 40°C...
After that, it became romantic above the rooftops of Bangkok...
Hangover 2 was filmed in the highest hotel in Bangkok,
at a sky roof bar!
The cocktails were outrageously expensive at almost €20 each....,
but the view was breathtaking and priceless.
After that, we made our way back to the boat pier through the hustle and bustle and took an old junk back to the hotel pier.
It was truly an unforgettable day... 🇹🇭
Tomorrow is Thai New Year..⚠
Everything and everyone here, without exception, gets soaked to wash away the old sins...
It's exciting 😝
See you tomorrow 😂
