We are at Lake Sainte Croix, the entrance or exit of the Verdon Gorge.
We have spent two beautiful days here. Ronny went for a swim in the lake and we went to the market in the village. There we met Herbert, a Palatine character and free spirit. He told us so many great and wild stories and gave us tips for the rest of our journey.
In the evening, we sat together with Rainer from Bremen, sipping on a French wine, and let the day come to an end.
Unfortunately, water is also becoming scarce in this region, and the lake is slowly drying up. Normally, at this time of year, it is full, but currently, it has over 4 meters less water level. Last year, it was almost completely dried up.
Now we are heading to the Verdon Gorge.
