After three wonderful weeks in Asia, it was now time to say goodbye to each other.
Lin had already left us at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, she continued to Vietnam. And for Jana, Stephi, and me, it was back to Singapore.
After two hours of sleep and a short but terrible flight (right in the middle of a thunderstorm), we arrived in Singapore early at seven o'clock on Sunday.
Here, Stephi and I took the opportunity to experience an Asian church service. The New Apostolic congregation in Singapore is relatively small and does not have its own church building. The service takes place at the Ibis Hotel. The advantage here: tea, coffee, and cookies before and after the service! :-)
Just like everywhere else in the world, there are lots of Germans here too! Also many Swiss, Filipinos, Malaysians, Indonesians ... and of course people from Singapore. The priest, who originally comes from Switzerland, told me that at peak times there were 13 different nationalities represented!
Otherwise, we took it easy on the last two days. We visited a light festival in Singapore, strolled through the city and our beloved Arab Street, spent hours in a park by the sea, ate well and drank tea...
On Monday, the girls had to be at the airport at half past five in the evening, their flight back to Berlin was a few hours before mine at 1:45 am. So I still had over eight hours of time. Luckily, there was a lot to see and experience: there is a cinema, a swimming pool, countless shops, spas, restaurants, an orchid and sunflower garden, and so much more...
Nevertheless, I was glad when it finally started early, early Tuesday morning.
Next stop: SYDNEY !!!
