Beach walk in Perth

Our first day in Perth was very nice. And totally relaxed. First we went shopping, fortunately the supermarkets are open on Sundays here. After that, we walked to the beach, from the hostel you just have to cross the street. The beach is called Cottesloe Beach, because we are also located in the district of Cottesloe. And it's really beautiful! We just started walking and after 3.5 kilometers we turned around and walked back. It was also very busy, many families, couples, joggers and even swimmers were out and about. And also some surfers who could surf really well for the relatively low waves.

In the end, we watched the dreamy sunset over the Indian Ocean. The sunset is currently around 5:45 pm here.

And then we cooked our first meal in an Australian hostel ourselves! It was actually quite delicious and we also met nice people in the kitchen. Out of a total of 7, 6 were German though. And I was the only woman. Quite characteristic :D

Unfortunately, the weather is not going to be as sunny in the next few days and it will only be 17°C warm. We didn't think that it's still wintry in Perth at the moment, only about the tropical Darwin. But we will still enjoy our time here :)
