Stopover in Misawa

Published: 27.03.2018

On March 24th, we headed back to Tokyo from the Koch family in Sapporo. We made a stopover in Misawa. Three weeks ago, we met Shawn, a soldier stationed in Misawa, while skiing in Hakoda. He asked us where we were from and what we were doing in Japan. I explained to him that we were in Japan to tell people about Jesus, to which he spontaneously invited us to Misawa Bible Fellowship 🙏🙌. I was just about to give a mini sermon in the gondola before he approached me, but since he and I were at opposite ends of the gondola, I think I can count our loud conversation with him as that 😉.

So we decided to visit Shawn there on March 25th. It was really wonderful to see how God is working there and it was encouraging to be able to exchange with the people there and tell them about our experiences with Jesus 🙏. We had the privilege of hearing a very powerful and personal sermon from Bruce Truss and met many new people.

Before heading to Kyoto, we had the opportunity to admire God's impressive creation in Misawa.
