Update Koh Lanta, Koh Rok Excursion, Return to Phuket

Published: 19.12.2016

After a few days of relaxation, we also visited the dusty city of Ban Saladan. However, in the morning we used more time for strolling and shopping, as there is not much to do here.

A day later, we were loaded onto the back of a pickup truck early in the morning and continued with the speedboat to Koh Rok. It is strongly discouraged to take the kids on the boat ride there. The waves were huge and after 45 minutes we were soaking wet and our daughter could hardly be convinced to go back. But snorkeling around the island's reefs, the snow-white beach, and the crystal clear water compensated for (almost) everything.

Back in our little paradise 'Relax Bay Resort' - absolutely recommendable for anyone traveling to Koh Lanta... everything is perfect here! - we could relax on the beach and enjoy the delicious dinner. Everyone was satisfied and happy again.

Today was the day of our return to Phuket. We were picked up at our accommodation and brought to the ferry. Then we took a passenger ferry for 1 hour to Koh Pi Pi and then another 2 hours to Phuket. When we arrived there, we were picked up by our taxi driver (who had already safely brought us from Phuket to Krabi) and taken to the AirPort Hotel in Nai Yang Beach. Our incredibly large hunger and a really good tip (Thanks Jo) led us to a detour in Phuket Town to the 'Suayrestaurant'. You can eat super delicious food here and they have the absolutely 'best Kaiserschmarrn' ever!! Unbelievable but true! But the Swabian roots of the chef are unmistakable.
