After the nature trip through Australia, the city trip begins. The previous travel group disbanded in Brisbane, and I settled into my accommodation near the pedestrian zone in the city center. The accommodation is in a building that was built in 1930, which is considered almost a historical structure by Australian standards.
The first visit was to the clock tower at the City Hall, which was the tallest building in the city until the late 1960s (91m in height, including the lights on the roof for airplanes). The elevator to the clock tower is still in its original state and must be started and stopped manually. The tour to the clock tower was free of charge.
After this overview, I explored the city center until nightfall (which is already at 6:30 PM here).
