Lost in paradise

Published: 23.05.2019

The last two days have been incredibly beautiful. Yesterday we spent 2/3 of the day in the car, but then we arrived in a little corner that looked like it had been painted. Dreamy beach, warm water.. unfortunately it was already 4:58pm sunset, so we couldn't enjoy the view long enough after our short workout. In the twilight, we had our first encounter with a wild dingo. They really look inconspicuous, but you definitely shouldn't get too close to them. One of the dogs on the campsite also had the same opinion and automatically went into defense mode. And since I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat, I didn't dare to venture into the darkness alone anymore. Basti was briefly afraid that the evening was ruined, but then we met another German couple. We emptied two bottles of wine with them and exchanged experiences. That distracted us a bit from the dingo, which seems to appear every evening. A little tipsy, we fell asleep easily.

Today started at 7 already. Breakfast, exchanging numbers, preparing the car and then off we go. Just under 200km away - with a stopover at Roccardo's strawberry plantation and 1kg of self-picked strawberries (it doesn't get any tastier) - we arrived at Trial Bad Goal Campground, which the internet had recommended to us. Google was right. An absolute paradise! Miles of beach and no one in sight. Of course, we wasted no time and grabbed Beachy Luke. Being diligent as we are, we also did some sports and then enjoyed the sunset (again before 5pm). On the way back to the car, we met many kangaroos again, three of which were carrying their babies in their pouches. How cute was that?! Now we've just finished eating and planning the route for the next few days. Tired from digging, we're now falling into bed. Goodnight world!
