Valparaiso

we took a day trip from Santiago to Valparaiso. This is a city where hundreds of years ago, ships mistakenly arrived here instead of Santiago. They decided to build a port here. It used to be the largest port in South America for a long time. Today, it is mainly used for imports. The whole city is colorful, it was an amazing experience.

We arrived under cloudy skies. I was worried because there wouldn't be good photos. However, I was optimistic that the weather would change. We walked to the starting point of the Free Walking Tour. Along the way, we kept stopping to pet various dogs about 100 times.

We found a very cute little cat. Its name was written as Schmuusebusi. It has a 3-phase cuddle concept.

Once we reached the square, we saw that there were 2-3 blue patches in the sky. It was slowly clearing up. We sat down in a cafe and waited for the tour to start. When it was about to start, we had a clear blue sky and everyone was happy. :-D Interestingly, we had someone in our group who had already done a tour with us in Rio. We walked through the streets and admired all the murals/graffiti.

In order to reach a certain part, we took a funny little train up the hill.

But we also had to climb several stairs, which were not normal.

After the tour, we took a boat ride around the port for 3 francs to see the active marine boats and all the seals/sea lions relaxing in the sun.

After that, we strolled around a bit. The funny thing is, the city has a lot of colonies. Including Croatian, German and also Swiss. That's why there are fire trucks labeled "Firewehr". The trolley buses are from Lucerne, vintage 1960-1980. Also labeled with "Obwalde, Niedwalde & Luzern". Funny.
