After some dawdling, we arrived in Stockholm around noon. By chance, we found a cheap parking lot from where we walked towards the city center. Since Suchanya had informed us earlier that there were no real sights in Stockholm, we strolled leisurely through the streets and let everything sink in. And what we saw pleased us immensely. Above all, the people had caught our attention. No question, you could express yourself fashionably here. After a short stop at Starbucks, we went to the old town district "Gamla Stan". Although there were many tourists here, we enjoyed wandering through the cobblestone streets and looking through the shop windows. We ate something in a cozy restaurant and then drove back to Vaxholm.
Before we got on the ferry (which, by the way, was free and ran every half hour), we sat on the jetty in the harbor and enjoyed the evening atmosphere.
Back at Suchanya's place, we chatted with her and her friend for a while. We also asked them if there were any bears here, which they both denied. Maybe only really far up north, they said. Those were probably the two percent uncertainty from yesterday. After that, we said goodbye to each other and spent our last night in the guesthouse.
