Mea culpa!

Published: 27.11.2018

I know, I have shamefully neglected you and this travel blog! But I swear to you, it was only because of the weather ...🙄

We had thunderstorms and torrential rain here for a few days, which not only made many roads impassable, but also gave the kids a day off from school due to the rain (Dear Hamburgers, please don't tell your children about this!!!).

Then we had a few days that were cloudy and cool, and then the storm came ... RED alert!!

I can tell you, when it thundered, it was so loud and fierce that the caravan shook and vibrated, my heart raced, and my dogs eventually crawled under my duvet trembling. Even during the day, they didn't want to go outside because they would get soaking wet within a minute of going for a walk.

During this time, I was somehow demotivated when it came to my travel blog ... 🙄😏😣

I already knew before the trip that this excursion to the south would be a personal challenge for me, especially because of the cramped space in this mini caravan. And it turned out to be just that: hardly being able to leave the caravan for days, having only a few books and my smartphone for entertainment, not to mention drying the dripping wet dogs and clothes. And since I don't have an awning yet, only a canopy (which I didn't want to roll out during the gusts of wind), I had to stretch a rope lengthwise inside the caravan and constantly navigate around the hanging wet jacket and wet dog towels, without tripping over the constantly obstructive rubber boots.

Yes, it was quite a joy, and the desire to write disappeared in some drain clogged with leaves ...

But that's all in the past now, and I was still active on the cloudy days. I will report on the days and the experiences tomorrow.

So, mea culpa, I apologize, please stay loyal to me and see you soon! 💋
