Thoughts...

After 5 weeks of traveling, it's time for a little interim post. We have to say that we are having a blast traveling. We enjoy (almost) every minute, are happy about everything we have experienced so far, about what we are currently experiencing, and about everything that is yet to come! We firmly intend to keep it that way, even after the trip. It's not always just pure relaxation, as one might imagine from a trip - especially from a honeymoon - the constant moving, unpacking, packing, carrying around, bus rides (sometimes with really unpleasant smells) also has its exhausting side. Especially when you only stay in an accommodation for 1 night, you are constantly packing. However, we don't stay in one place for several days everywhere, because we also want to make it to the south and some places are simply more suitable as a stopover. The distances are simply too long to drive everything directly. That's why we enjoy it even more when we have 3-4 nights in an accommodation and also take a day off every now and then. We write, draw, sort photos, and simply chill! But of course, we also have a lot of fun continuing to travel and not just being in one place, we see and experience so many things that the blog and our diary also help us to process everything. As suspected and hoped, time feels much much slower here than in everyday life at home, so it already feels like an eternity since we traveled through Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina! We have only been in Chile for 2 weeks, hard to believe. And that's exactly what we want: Decelerate! Enjoy the moment! Just let your soul dangle and still experience a lot! When you think about all the things we have seen and experienced here in one day, including relaxing, and how long a day feels... Compared to a workday that flies by so quickly...

We see fantastic landscapes here with mostly wonderful weather, but what really makes the trip the most and enriches it are the people we meet. We have already met so many great people in this time, who have been so warm-hearted towards us. Whether they were Brazilians, Paraguayans, Argentinians, or Chileans. Apart from the corrupt Argentine police and the luggage handlers, we can only talk about extremely friendly, helpful, and hospitable encounters here. Whether it was families we stayed with for several days or people who just took us in their car for 10 minutes or people we bought something from. We already feel pretty comfortable here :)
