Germans everywhere 😁

Published: 01.08.2023

I got up relatively early on this day because I had booked a walking tour at 10 a.m. So I took the tram and quickly noticed that I was not the only German, but about 50% of the visitors were also German. One was even my age and we had a very lively conversation during the tour. The tour was good, although the one in Copenhagen was definitely better.

After the tour, Flora (the other German - even from Munich) and I went to the Gothenburg City Museum, which is free for people under 20 years old. The museum has the oldest relatively well-preserved Viking ship and a very cool exhibition about the 400-year celebration in Gothenburg that takes you through the different centuries in Gothenburg.

For lunch, we walked to the food truck recommended by the tour guide and got some very good fries. Back at the hostel, we took a little break from travel stress and then made dinner in the hostel kitchen.

In the evening, the three of us chatted (a third German had moved into my room) and then went to the castle park to see the elks and the other animals there. We also made acquaintance with seals, penguins, and a very friendly cat.
