Hamburg City

With Hamburg, we have found our favorite city on our trip. We found a campground in the middle of the city and were able to explore the city without a car. Hamburg has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights and we treated ourselves really well once again. The unusually pleasant price level makes it possible 😉!

We went from the Speicherstadt to the Elbphilharmonie, from which you have a magnificent view of the city and the harbor. The 35 degrees were a bit exaggerated but the weather was amazing!! The weather gods are gracious to us! 🌞

And then there were the people in Hamburg. Probably we Swiss children from the countryside find everything so incredibly exciting because with us the variety of people, food and culture is not as huge and interesting as in a big city.

A preacher, for example, forcefully got my full attention when he shouted loudly that Jesus is alive - Hallelujah. In the middle of the shopping passage.

I love it when other people's opinions are screamed directly into my ear!🤨

Then, when sex before marriage was punished with hell, America was called the land of the devil, and little children with bad moods were referred to as demon-possessed, my sympathy slowly waned.

But in the midst of pubs, shopping streets, erotic shops, and other shady businesses, you can also find an oasis of peace.. Planten and Bloomen is one of the green parks that can be found in Hamburg. Here you can relax and unwind wonderfully. 🌲

The subway and the bus safely brought us back to our campsite, where we finally had the luxury of a cold shower.🚿
