More sea is not possible anymore

The morning started again with an Italian breakfast. The croissants were really delicious 🥐😋 And Fico wanted to take a ride on the fan carousel before the drive 😂🤦🏼‍♀️🎠

Then it took about 2 hours to Riomaggiore, or a few kilometers before, to today's accommodation. The view of the sea and the villages built directly into the mountains is impressive 🌊⛰️😍

Since we had a few hours again and Riomaggiore had no more free parking spaces, it's really just a small town, we drove back to La Spezia. The 'beach' associated with the accommodation, probably just gravel, is apparently connected with a 15-minute steep descent. We didn't want to do that either.

We passed by there on the way there, so we practically knew the way. We parked inexpensively in a parking garage almost right by the sea. First we had ice cream with a view of the sea 🍦😍

We walked along the water and then discovered a small café and ordered focaccia for lunch. Strengthened, we went into town, because this is probably the last Flying Tiger store that I will visit in the near future. We don't have that many 😭 Now I'm happy for now, because I bought the cool 🍋-shaped lemon squeezer that I thought was so cool the whole time 🙈 They also always have delicious and cheap drinks 😌

Finn also had a frozen yogurt for dessert. And I bought my obligatory postcard as a souvenir 🏞

Of course, we were on the road again perfectly at lunchtime while many shops have a long lunch break. That's why we only got a few earrings at Tally Weijl ⭐️🌛& 🦋 & mini gummy bears.

Then we went back to the parking garage, past a statue of Richard Wagner and Bayreuth Square, named after La Spezia's twin town 🇩🇪🇮🇹 We also found the cheapest gas station in the area again and this time we knew how the fuel dispensers work. Check ✅️⛽️

The complex where our little room is located is beautiful. A few steps down the street is the reception and the restaurant. Our room is called 'Arnica'. Top medicinal plant 🌱😌👍🏼 and is located at the very bottom of the stairs. Everything is lined with wine and other plants 🍇🪴🌳

Each little room has a really small kitchenette, a bathroom, even an air conditioning, which is not really necessary today, and a small garden area with seating and sunbathing facilities. We started reading there 🤓📔 The view is fantastic, right on the sea and the mountains around you 😍

With so many stairs, it was really smart to pack everything in bags and backpacks. Everything is a bit damp because of the direct sea and the small room, like the bed linen 😅

For dinner we went up again and had relatively good food. I could have done without the half crab and the crunch in the pasta of the day, pasta with crab. And the anglerfish could also have been wrapped in bacon without bones. Smartly, we ordered potatoes as a side dish, otherwise it would have been a bit too little 🍝🦀 & 🐟🥓🥔🍆🫑🍅

For dessert, panna cotta with berry sauce and a cheese platter were really delicious 🧀 You can't go wrong with that 😂 Oh yes, and the sweet house dog 'Luna' also visited us at the table 🐕

On the way down we played a round of table football, which I lost very narrowly with 9-10. We also discovered a flying creature. At first we thought it was a dragonfly, then a hummingbird. But that didn't quite fit. It turned out it was a hummingbird hawk-moth, cuddly 😇

Since we forgot to pack a game in the bag, we played 1 on 1 games on the tablet. In the end, my sweetheart had more points than me again. But the games weren't on my side either 😂 The sun was slowly setting and lightning started. Then there were flashes every few seconds, but no thunder and no rain. Let's see if anything comes down today 🌧

I'm really excited about the night, but I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow with the view directly from the bed 🙈

PS. The internet is not really available from 10 p.m., neither the WiFi nor any reception. Uploading the blog is therefore quite difficult 🥲
