Today it was hot again in the morning. That's why we made a mint-apple-chamomile tea (cold) for our horses in the morning.
Around noon it became cloudy. It rained from time to time. We take a lunch break at around 13:30/14:30. Nick made me a pizza because I was busy greasing material. He treated himself to a raclette in this warm weather.
Nick speaks Spanish from the heart, even if he doesn't always know what he's answering: But he always reaches his goal. The day before yesterday he asked one of the men here on the farm how much straw cost: "¿Cuánto cuesta la paja?" "Per te nada". Today it came. We were surprised about that. Because when they picked up the manure, we had agreed "in an hour" - with a 3-hour delay he finally came. He apologized, he had eaten something. We have gotten used to that by now. We have acclimatized in this regard. Only when visitors are here, for example Germans, we have to make sure that we are punctual ourselves. If we agree to meet at 09:00, the German will be there at the latest at 08:55. When the vet comes in the afternoon, we also never know the time for sure. He is usually there around 17:00
We wanted to do something good for the horses with the straw and spread out a lying area... It was very well received. The 7 horses have already eaten half of the material.
By the way, for those who don't know what a Bobcat is: Those are the white and red machines in the pictures.
Sarina is still a bit lame, but she is gradually getting better. Fly's wound is actually getting better - I'm glad about that. I did some ground work with her in the arena (because it was raining).
Then there is a broken horseshoe in the photos. We already reported it in the "Equipo-Chat": A stallion constantly steps on a reinforcement net in the paddock. Nick was supposed to have lunge lessons with him. After we had finished grooming the stallion, we noticed that a shoe was missing. Nick then had to switch to another stallion. He found the horseshoe in front of the reinforcement net in the paddock.
In the evening I made tiramisu because Nick will be turning 44 tomorrow.
