Successfully kill time in Darwin

Published: 15.03.2017

Now that we have a car, we drove around the area. We went to a bay and observed the sea as the water receded during low tide. Unfortunately, we can't go swimming because of jellyfish and crocodiles. Afterwards, we went to the famous Minidil Beach, but it was still quiet as it's not peak season yet. There were a lot of Aboriginal people there, so we quickly moved on. We then bought new windshield wipers for our car (it started raining on the way back). You can find everything for your car at Supercheap Auto, it's like a hardware store for cars, we really liked the place.

While driving around, we saw a sign at a company that said 'Welder Wanted'. So we stopped and Padi walked in with his resume in hand. We were actually planning to start job hunting on April 8th (when we're back from Bali). An hour later, Padi got a job as a bodywork technician at the largest vehicle rental company in Australia (210 offices in Australia - headquarters in Darwin). He can start on April 8th. :) To celebrate, we had a meal at McDonald's, a fries with two smoothies cost $20.
