Goodbye to the Fremlin family and a great day in Vancouver!

Published: 01.07.2019

The last few days with Jolene, Dan, and the kids flew by. My shower project wasn't completely finished, but that's how projects go, right?☺️ In the attached picture, you can see the temporary end result, I'm quite happy with it. I hope you are too, honestly, I don't know, you don't talk much. It's more of a family of few words😂. Doesn't matter, that's just how they are. So, two days ago, they dropped me off on the way to Jolene's parents in Kamloops. Unfortunately, it was already half past 10 in the morning, so I had to spend the day in Kamloops. My bus to Vancouver didn't leave until 4:45 p.m.😅. I did some shopping and then met Marion and Katy for dinner. It was very nice to see them again.

After arriving in Vancouver by bus, I took public transportation to the hostel. Much better than the first one. Especially the area was more pleasant. Then, at dinner, I found out that I live right in the middle of the gay district. There's always something to watch and admire👍 Then I went to bed. The room was scorching hot, but whatever.

The next morning started with a great breakfast. Everything was there, but you had to do everything yourself, even wash your dishes😂 I made scrambled eggs and enjoyed it. Back in the room, I made friends with my roommate Luke and exchanged numbers. We plan to meet in Toronto, cool thing!👍

I spent the whole day on the bike. First, I circled Stanley Park on my own. That alone is amazing, hard to capture in pictures, but I still tried. Then at 2 p.m., I took a guided tour with Jeremy (the guide) and two Germans. We were on the road for almost 4 hours and saw Gastown, Chinatown, Granville Island, and many graffiti. Just amazing, I don't think I would have seen many corners if I hadn't done that. So, once again, the concept of a guided bike tour in every city has proven itself👍

Since the jazz festival is currently taking place, I went to the open-air stage for a bit and had some delicious Malaysian food. After that, I went to Sunset Beach for a quick swim and some back exercises. Unfortunately, it was necessary again because my back was acting up🙄. All in all, a city that combines city, mountains, and beach. So many leisure activities in one place, it's incredibly cool!!☺️ After a quick snack, off to bed.

I had some time to plan on the farm and booked a trip to Vancouver Island for today and tomorrow, including whale watching. Now I'm on the ferry and excited to see if I'll actually see whales...
