Through the rain we go from Springfield to Boston. Not on the interstate but through the villages - like America of the past - through endless forests, past lakes full of water lilies.
Arriving in Boston, we take a short walk (still in the rain) round the block from our hotel, which is right next to the Public Library. 4 million books are here to read and browse. A beautiful building from the outside, even more beautiful from the inside with its various reading rooms and corridors.
This glass and steel structure has a 'moving' history in the truest sense of the word. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hancock_Tower
Tomorrow we will - hopefully in nice weather - go on a bus tour - Hop-on Hop-off!
