We will spend two nights in a hostel in Lüderitz. Camping is not recommended there due to the extremely strong wind and salt. We will stroll through the streets, have dinner at 'Essenszeit', and visit the now abandoned city of Kolmannskuppe (which was built by Germans in 1908 and is slowly being reclaimed by the desert) as well as Griffith Bay. Compared to the other cities Swakopmund and Windhoek, this one seems a bit more run-down, but it still has a special charm for us.
Highlights: surprisingly cozy hostel with a small terrace and a mini-sea view, the German buildings in Lüderitz (e.g. sports hall), the visit and tour of Kolmannskuppe, a quick swim in the (slightly cold😅) sea
