Bangkok - Koh Samui - KOH PHANGAN - Koh Tao - Krabi
Koh Samui and Koh Phangan are only 45 minutes ferry ride away from each other. So we quickly and without any problems arrived on the island of Koh Phangan.
With a taxi, unfortunately fixed rate, we were taken to our really nice hostel. It is located right on the beach and has a relaxed common area where we made some very nice acquaintances. Unfortunately, the water was once again not very clean, so we immediately knew that we had to rent a scooter again.
The next day, we rode a scooter around the island again. But first, Finn had to take the ferry to Koh Samui again because we had forgotten something in the hostelđ. But then we started. Along small waterfalls, through the jungle, and finally a beautiful beach. We also saw pineapple plants, a very big lizard, and a 400-year-old and 53.5m high tree. It is supposedly the second largest tree in all of Thailand. The Yang Na tree was very impressive, representing such strength and incredible energy. It has been standing there for 400 years, which is unimaginable. Simply amazing!
The astonishing thing is how small the islands look at first glance and how big they actually are. On Koh Phangan, we only saw the east and south of the island.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to explore any more of this island because we are already moving on to Koh Tao. But something really great and exciting awaits us there.
So stay tuned for our post Island hopping - Part 3.
