After a very bumpy ride, we arrived in Québec City in the afternoon. The first major city in a month. After a long drive like this, the first thing we look for is a playground. Right next to the Centre Vidéotron, we discovered a climbing paradise for the children. Adjacent to it was a market hall with lots of delicious food.
For sightseeing, we drove directly to the city center the next day and bought a day parking ticket.
We walked along the old city walls and explored the historic old town. The 'Fairmont Le Château Frontenac' hotel is, of course, the highlight, and no matter where you stand, you can see the peaks of its roof.
Since we're on the road early, there's not much going on on the promenade, and we strolled through the alleys comfortably.
A mandatory visit to the church was, of course, also a must.
In the afternoon, we drove to the Montgomery Falls. A beautifully landscaped park with plank paths and a bridge directly over the waterfall. The depth and volume of the current are impressive. Of course, we spotted another playground as well.
The next day, we went shopping at the mall. There were new shoes and pants for the children. They just won't stop growing. 😀
