About 5,000 people live here, there is no private property, everything is under nature protection. The few hotels here are very expensive, there is no public transportation. One lives together with the elk, which are walking around the village, partly because there is a lot of grass here, partly because they were actually here first and because they are protected in the village from wild animals. Fortunately, it is very quiet here in winter, in summer the chance of getting a room is very low and you pay at least 500 euros per night, even the few campsites are fully booked for the entire summer within a week after being released in April, wild camping has been prohibited since the previous year.
It is about -10° Celsius here, apparently that is 'warm' for this time, at Christmas it was -47°
The pictures were taken at Maligne Canyon during an ice walk.
