Took the car to the starting point up to Table Mountain cable car parking lot and further down that road to get to the entry to Platteklip Gorge. It’s a very beautiful steep, rocky and partly suspended 4km path directly up to Table mountain. We had packed enough water and a bit of food to make sure to be ok on the hike in the warm temperatures. Arriving at the top, we did a small extra loop towards MacLear’s beacon as highest point on Table Mountain with 1086m and then headed back to the cable car 🚠 to ride back down as it’s a bit easier on the knees 🤗😬. Going down the road towards the hotel at Sea Point on the promenade, we stopped at the Dinkelbakery across the German International school in 91 Kloof Nek Road. Really highly recommendable place to visit if you like good coffee, proper fruit cake and nice smoothies 🤗. Finished the day with a neat beach walk at home at sea point to collect some sea shells. Deserved the beef fillet tonight 🫶🙏🤗.
