Day 4: Sunday 05.08.2018 Liverpool and Holyhead

After a rather restless night, we woke up around 8.30 a.m. For breakfast, we had everything the kitchen had to offer (self-service and self-preparation). So we had, for example, a cheese toast or a yogurt. After that, we walked again into the city center of Liverpool and visited, among other things, a church that we had not seen before, Chinatown, and again the city center itself, where we made some important purchases. Afterwards, we went to the Mexican restaurant for lunch. It was very delicious and had a pleasant atmosphere. We had a mixed variety of tacos, quesadillas, and black bean paste. The Mexican restaurant was called Lucha Libre and is highly recommended. In the city center, we saw a bird walking around in the settlement. A resident told us that the bird had been here for weeks and probably could not fly anymore. Since then, he has been feeding it with crackers!

After checking out of the hostel, we headed to Holyhead. There, in our accommodation, we were warmly greeted by a grandfather. He and his wife, both around 80 years old, run the guesthouse. After showing us around, we went out again to see where the ferry port is located. It is only about 5 minutes away from our guesthouse. Since everything important was taken care of, we went to the beach. There, we bathed in the "warm" water of around 18°C and then sunbathed for a while.

To end the day, we had a beer/cider in a pub.

Tomorrow at 8.55 a.m., our ferry to Dublin departs.
