Day 14: Wednesday 15.08.2015 Anascout - Ballybonnion

Published: 15.08.2018

In relatively bad weather, we started again from our accommodation heading north on the Wild Atlantic Way. Outside, you can see about 100 meters. This is because the clouds are so low that they practically lie on the ground. That's why it's not raining properly, but it's a kind of 'drizzle' - everything is just damp. The landlord bid us farewell and said they hadn't had any rain in the last four weeks. Today's cloudy and wet weather, around 16 °C, would now be like this for the next 11 to 12 months! During our drive around the Dingle Peninsula, we saw many animals, cliffs, and the sea again. In the afternoon, the weather improved and we could see more again. Our day trip then took us to Ballybonnion (apparently a famous golf course). Because of the bad weather, we booked another accommodation there. We also played the famous golf course on a smaller scale and J. went swimming in the sea again. In the evening, we went to the city center. Hundreds of young people were brought in buses to go to a specific bar. As it turned out, it must have been something like the prom party. Overall, this was a spectacle (for various reasons) that cannot be described in words. Today we continue heading north.

More pictures will follow.
