We left the ship at 08:30 and met some participants of the group in front of the fish hall at 09:30. Pit had organized a boat tour to see the dolphins. We saw some of them.
It was a nice trip with swimming and snorkeling in a small bay, which quickly filled up with other boats. On the way back, we passed by beautiful hotel complexes along the rugged coast. We were back on the ship at 13:00.
Then I went alone to the old town of Muscat. It was not allowed to walk on the port area. So I took a minibus from the ship to the "Terminal" about 180 meters away. One side in, the bags were checked, and back on the shuttle bus to the port exit. From there, you can easily walk to the old town to the gold zone, the Zouq. Here, there are shops for clothing and other knick-knacks packed closely together. Of course, there is a lot of jewelry. The salespeople wanted to sell badly, and anyone who wasn't firm would come out with at least a scarf. There were great lamps, but unfortunately, they were too heavy and big for me. The weather was also beautiful in the evenings.
To access the internet, I sat in a juice bar and drank a ginger-lemon juice. It was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. But it's good for your health.
I thought Muscat had already put up the Christmas lights. But these red, green and white lights are always there.
