📍Uluru - Day 2 Outback, Australia
The next day in the Outback started at 5 o'clock in the morning at a chilly 5 degrees, so that we could walk around Uluru in time for sunrise. The silence, the spectacle of colors, and the magic of the place were breathtaking. 😍
Out of respect and protection of Aboriginal culture, photo and video recordings are not allowed for the public. Images and words can hardly describe the beauty of nature as well. 🥰
Even today, you can see current retreat areas and Aboriginal caves with cave paintings here. 🎨 The Anangu tell Tjukurpa here, different stories about the origin of the mountain, and how to live as a man, woman or child. Unfortunately, these are often only passed on within the tribes, through storytelling, dance, and painting, and not written down, so little is known about them. 📜
After lunch, we went to the lookout of Lake Amadeus and Mount Connor, and then continued to our camp at Kings Creek.⛺️
In the evening, we had a campfire under a starry sky and a delicious dinner at the campsite.🔥
