We get up at around 8 or 8:30. The weather is cloudy and windy - this is not going to be a beach day. It is going to be a lazy, lazy holiday day. I have reached the peak of slowing down.

At breakfast, the question arises whether the church tower figure rotates according to the wind or the time. In other words, is it floating or connected to the clock tower gears via a meter-long shaft? We will observe that today, as well as the hustle and bustle of the harbor, the screeching seagulls, the busy shipping traffic and the usual car traffic.

In general, it should be noted that the traffic is absolutely civilized. Despite the many different road users (pedestrians, cyclists, moped/motorcycle riders, motor carts (Ape), Maseratis and Porsches, trucks, buses and rescue services, etc.) going in different directions (cyclists generally go against the one-way street), everyone looks out for each other and everything is easy going. No fuss and murder. Here and the further north, the more unthinkable this is. The principle that applies to everyone here is that the flow of traffic should be maintained. Live and let live in its purest form. Simply beautiful.

The children play and paint and write and Bettina shows them how to tie their shoes. Lisa also begins to write her first stories.

While strolling through the city, we visit the Basilica of Sant'Eufemia with its magnificent mosaic floor, but there is no sign of the tower figure. In any case, Lisa and I light a candle for our ancestors, namely her great-grandmother and my grandmother.

We land on the promenade, where Lisa immediately falls into the shell-hunting frenzy again. We walk along the concrete walkway to the tip - here the stormy sky stretches over us and it becomes a little clear what it can be like on the high seas. Very impressive.

To warm up and get some strength, we "coincidentally" head for the wine bar with no name again. 74 euros later, we stroll home and Ella gets a Beyblade too. The ring is free for the Beyblade battle.

We have dinner at "Al Cantivo". The ambience is better from outside than in the covered courtyard. The portions are un-Italian in size, the quality is not exceptional. It was good, but definitely too much. We even skip the ice cream on the way home. And it also marks the peak of the bill.

So the vacation is over. Thank God, my belly is about to burst.
