Mt. Sinai•Egypt🇪🇬

14.02.2022 • Larissa (a Swiss), Michail (a Belgian), and I spontaneously decided to climb Mt. Sinai, where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments, in the middle of the night to catch the sunrise. We took a minibus to St. Catherine and hiked up the mountain from there. The temperature was about 5°C, so we froze our asses off during the ascent. But in the end, it was worth it. We witnessed a phenomenal sunrise, with the beautiful landscape unfolding around us minute by minute. After the descent, where we enjoyed breathtaking mountain views in every direction, we briefly visited St. Catherine's Monastery before the bus took us back to Dahab and our well-deserved hostel bed.
