Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷

19th-27th April 2022 • Since I had already made plans with friends in Turkey, I took a flight to Istanbul on 19th April. Upon arrival, I spent the first few days exploring the city with Marie, who had been living here for 1.5 years. I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of Istanbul, as well as the masses of people and different cultures that intersect here. The city on two continents... Later, Francis joined us, whom I had met in Jordan. Together, we partied, tried Turkish cuisine, and visited Burgaz Island, a peaceful and beautiful island located in the Marmara Sea, off the coast of Istanbul, where we camped for a night. Unfortunately, I got sunstroke there, which left me completely exhausted and confined to bed for the next few days. As Francis continued his journey and Marie got caught up with work, I decided to continue my tour and move on to Ankara.
