We're starting a bit later this morning, as the rain is supposed to stop, but we get caught in a short shower. The path to the national park is not very easy to find at first, as we wander through a new apartment complex in the ski resort, but after half an hour we reach the gate.
The path winds through birch and spruce forests, shaped by the meltwater of the ice age, but the large glacier boulders are missing here.
We walk a circular route of 7 km, with the goal being a bird observation tower in a large bog area, where we plan to have our lunch break.
The path across the bog is equipped with wooden planks, and unlike in Norway, the trails are wider here, but a certain sense of balance is required.
On the way to the tower, it is rather cloudy and damp, but after our lunch break, the sun even comes out briefly and it brightens up significantly.
On the way back, we find the direct path to our cabin.
Here, we pass through the ski resort of the town, which clearly shows the scars in the landscape that are unfortunately very visible without snow.
