Day 26: Great Wall of China

Or also white wall, as it is called in Mongolia, red wall, as it is called in China, or Great Wall, as it is called in the English-speaking world.

At 12 o'clock our bus went to Mutianyu to the Great Wall. There a cable car took us up the mountain to the wall. One could also have walked, but that would have taken a lot of time and besides it was very hot outside.

We spent about 2 hours on the wall, which is really impressive!

In the evening we wanted to go to the night market, where you can find grasshoppers or scorpions on a skewer, for example. Unfortunately, it seems to be permanently closed. Instead, we discovered a Cheesecake Factory and decided to eat there. That was the most expensive meal of the whole trip!
