Shortly after 9 I checked out, paid and then I was taken by boat to another island. I had to wait there a bit. A heavy shower had already started in the boat. But I have my rain poncho with me. Then I got on the boat for the tour. The stupid thing was that the tour had already started and I was the last to arrive. I had no window seat, no information and no ticket and I already missed part of the tour. Then something annoyed me. Oh well, first I sat at the window and the guide then told me to sit over so that a couple could sit there and 2 minutes later a person sat in my seat and he didn't say anything. Oh well. Then I had to store my suitcase outside, so I was afraid that it might fall overboard and get wet. But then I got up on the deck and the view put me in a good mood again. In addition, a person from Las Vegas asked me directly if I would like a photo. I generally love boating and the view of the islands and Bolivia. Really a dream. It wasn't sunny and windy, but it was okay with a jacket. After a little more than an hour we were on the largest island. There we walked 3 kilometers up to the main square. On the way I heard some Germans again. So things can't be that bad for us that I meet so many Germans here in Peru. There were also three English people who were already loud in the boat, which bothered me a bit. But everyone could walk the path alone. And the sun came out. When we arrived at the square we were treated to a musical performance. And visited two more stores. And then we went to the restaurant or rather it was a private family and not a restaurant. The food was good. The starter was a soup with quinoa and vegetables, and the main course was fish, vegetables, rice and chips. The fish was good, even if there were a lot of bones in it. During the meal, our guide told us something about the culture and what the local clothing says about whether you are single or married. There is no police and no crime on the island and divorce is not accepted. Otherwise, values such as community and willingness to help are very important. Then we made a steep descent to the coast and got back on the boat. I'm currently sitting on the roof and continuing to enjoy the beautiful view.
Overall the trip was nice. Even if everything doesn't always go the way you want.
When I arrive soon, I'll explore the city center a little more and get something to eat. And then this evening we continue on the night bus to Cusco.
