We toast ourselves into the day. Yes, we have a toaster! Well nourished, we dedicate ourselves to the daily task after breakfast: ...

...washing the dishes. Sad that we have to leave the campsite, we pack everything up and get Yoshi ready to drive. Today's program is a visit to Wilsons Promontory National Park in Gippsland. The friendly man at the entrance gate gave us maps and hiking routes. We drive to the end of the road and reach the overly crowded Tidal River (a pilgrimage site for campers). Apply sunscreen, pack up, put on our sneakers and we're ready for the 6km hike. We start walking in the midday heat. Luckily, there were many sections with shade. It's there that we finally spotted an Australian wild animal, Wally - a wallaby (small kangaroo). At Normanspoint, we also catch a glimpse of Robbie, a playful seal near the coast.

Back with the group, we enjoy the obligatory cappuccino. We don't miss out on the beautiful beach and even manage to wade waist-deep into the clear, cool water of Norman Bay.

The search begins. Where will we stay overnight? The goal is to stay as close to the national park as possible, as we will be exploring more trails tomorrow to see more wildlife. We find what we're looking for at the third campsite. The friendly man at the reception shows us our spot, where we park Yoshi. Luckily, he's still there, because the office officially closes at 6:00 pm and we arrive 4-5 minutes later. We park, shower, cook, and relax until we fall asleep tired at 10:30 pm.
