After we checked into the Novotel in the evening and the others also found their way to Munich without any problems, we went out for a hearty Bavarian meal in Weihenstephan. Almost everyone was already exhausted from the first day of arrival. But the holiday prelude before the holiday was a must, with a drink in the parking lot in front of the hotel. Here we all got a taste of what the next few days would be like. The first one said maybe we should only see each other every two days, it would be brutal.
After a short night in all the rooms, almost all of us met punctually at 5:25 a.m. in the hotel lobby and walked to the S-Bahn. Early in the morning, some of us were already very active in talking, others just wanted to leave everything behind.
After just under half an hour, TUIfly left Munich airport completely calmly thanks to extreme fog and a small technical defect. Shortly after take-off, the fog disappeared and the sun shone into the plane. Then it was a matter of sitting on our backsides for four hours and hoping that it would be over quickly. The approach to the Canary Islands was quite bumpy, it was the worst approach I've ever had and it was almost like I had to think about everything again.
We all just want sun and warmth.
After we spent some time in the transfer bus, we finally headed towards the harbor and there, next to the Mein Schiff, there was also an Aida in the harbor.
After a super quick check-in and some of the cabins being occupied, we went straight to dinner, where thankfully we quickly found a table.
Afterwards we took a short walk through the port area of Las Palmas before storming the bar on the Mein Schiff.
What we have already determined is that it will be difficult to get a table for 8, but it is not impossible.
Next to us is the Aida Stella, which will set sail shortly before us at 10 p.m.
We completed the mandatory safety briefing shortly after 6 p.m.
Tomorrow we are looking forward to a day at sea so that we can disembark in Madeira on Tuesday.
