Today was the day to say goodbye to Franschhoek. Shortly after 10 o'clock, everything was done and the cars were loaded. We set off in convoy to the Eikehof vineyard, a small family-run vineyard. We were well taken care of and treated by the boss and her employee. With a tasting of 3 wines and a cheese platter, life is good and time is enjoyed.
Next stop was the Franschhoek Motor Museum (by Antony Rupert), a private collection of over 300 vehicles, of which about 90 are displayed in 4 halls. There are very beautiful and sometimes unique vehicles in this collection. Whether it's one of the many Ford models on display or one of these beautiful Aston Martins or amazing Jaguars. The visit is worth a trip.
Afterwards, we stopped at the Delaire Graff vineyard on the pass between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The garden is a feast for the eyes, the wine is a poem. We were taken care of and treated by Agatha and enjoyed the afternoon.
After checking into our accommodation at Twice Central, we headed to the city of Stellenbosch. On the way there, we briefly stopped at Rousseau Grove (the son of Hilda Grove, whom we have been following since our first visit in 2019 via Facebook).
Today we dined at Helena's Restaurant, without wine this time.
