Here is real Outback

The last campsite Endiver escape was really nice located at the Billabong. The caretaker told us a lot - also which cool shortcut we can take. Nice spacious campsite. Just lots of mosquitoes. Now we know how the water works in the Outback (Donkey boiler). It started raining again at night :-( and the next morning we had to pack everything wet again. We took the shortcut, which was really fun - through proper rivers - in pouring rain.

At colored Sands we found a wide mudflat with mangroves and mudskippers and water birds. The colors on the dune rocks showed all the colors of nature.

On the way back we did a good deed - saved a smooth-necked snake-necked turtle from being run over.
