After showering, we found a nice restaurant. Although I understood the Spanish, she explained everything to us in English and then I translated it into German. So, we had rice with tomato (=ketchup) and vegetables. The second course was fish and for dessert, there was a flan. We don't know what was free. Either the red wine or the beer. It was delicious and we were strengthened.
The night was somewhat restless but not "snoring". Two fellow pilgrims and cyclists arrived 2 hours later than us. They were allowed to shower first, etc.
At quarter to six, I set the alarm even though we said we wouldn't because the others wanted to leave for sure. Sorry, but I didn't trust that. And it proved to be true.
So we got up a little later and freshened up.
It took about an hour until we had all our gear together, of course with a night light. Then we had our bikes and off we went.
Today it was 5 degrees Celsius and there was a sunrise. So, it does exist in Spain too.
First, stop by a gas station to see if it has a gas bottle. And it does... it also has water.
Since we didn't have breakfast, we had a coffee americano and a chocolate (puff pastry with ... exactly chocolate) in a bar on the way. There was also a restroom, so we could continue.
After several ups and downs, we looked for a place for lunch. We found one in Viano. Bread with salami and ham and a broth on the side. What a luxury to boil hot water.
In Logrono, we had to decide whether to continue. Since it was only half past one... of course we continue.
We had our coffee break in a small park.
In Navarrette, it was after four o'clock and it made sense to find a place to stay for the night. We were redirected twice and then found a place on the third try. After that, our hostel was full too.
We got a room with a wider bed and a shower. Our bikes also found a safe place and we were served a beer.
After a quick shower and some rearranging, we "called home" and now it's time to look for food again.
