Now we are in Dunedin, Otago, on the southwest coast of New Zealand. Dunedin (seventh largest city in New Zealand) was founded by the Scots, and the city reflects that. With a little good will, you can also notice that (Scottish pubs with haggis on the menu, quilt shops, large brewery).
On the drive here (about 315 km), we made a few detours to the 'Clay Cliffs' near Omarama and the 'Moeraki Boulders' in Moeraki, of course. Luckily, the tide was just retreating here, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to reach the beach.
We are staying at the 'Brothers Boutique Hotel' with a great view from our rooftop terrace of the city, which is very hilly, by the way. Going out for dinner in the evening involves a few meters of altitude. Maybe it helps...
