Our new home

We have been in New Zealand for 30 days now. A few days ago, we started a new job as an au pair.

How we got the job:

Since there are few farms that need help in the winter, we decided to apply to different families as au pairs. And the first meeting with a host mother was perfect. We met in a café in Hastings and we immediately liked each other so much that she hired us on the spot.

So afterwards, we went to a camp spot in the middle of nowhere to celebrate. We sat on our camping chairs by the beach, drank good wine, listened to music, and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The next morning, we woke up early to see the sunrise. Then we had breakfast and went into town to buy gifts for our family.

For the children, it was easy: candies 😂

But for the host parents...

We decided to make a Bavarian cookbook for the host parents. So we bought all the utensils and sat down in a McDonald's. After 7 hours of work, the English cookbook was finally finished 😍

The next day, we went to the family ❤️
