12. Day - Tag 12

Big departure from San Francisco today. On our way out of the town we spotted some more wings which we of course had to take a picture of. I dont know what this wings business is all about - but kind of like it :-) After a 2 hour very hilly ride (closed to a roller coaster) we arrived at Moaning Cavern. According to the travel guide real brave people abseil through a hole of the ceiling of the Cavedome 50 meters down vertically and free hanging to the bottom. That would have been something.... unfortunately the operators had some issues with the authorities and it's closed for the time being.. What a shame! We non the less climbed/walked down to the cave which was also rewarding. We also did the Ziplining which was great fun. That was enough action for the day. We proceeded to Jamestown a very nicely preserved gold mining town. Zoë took a nap, whilst I did the laundry, filled up fuel and got a refreshing Margarita. Now we are going to watch 'The rock' just to close the Alcatraz topic :-)
