September in Travemünde

So now Travemünde again – because of the family. Plus, it's simply beautiful here at any time of the year. This is what many visitors from all corners of the world are currently finding.
The short vacationers who only enjoyed maritime life for a longer weekend have already left.

There are still enough people with children out of school age and/or dogs on the promenade. There are still as many beach chairs by the water as there were in July. Here too, people like to stay on the beach.

This kind of weather is rare in mid-September. So just enjoy. In the early morning there was still sea fog over the MARITIM and the sea. It was still a bit cool – at least for me.

The front row was already relatively well attended. There was also a weekly market at Ostpreußenkai. Vegetables and cheese and eggs and everything that people like to use in the kitchen were offered. Since there were no flowers to be seen, we went to the Bailiwick to get delicious snacks for the short visit. As always, delicious things in the range.

After the short visit back to the beach. Luckily, you always have sunscreen number 50 in your bag - because now it was there: the sun. And she really tried hard to reach 28 degrees. She definitely did it. Some people were even in the water. We were just at the water's edge looking for chicken gods or even thunderbolts. But unfortunately we had no success.

Enjoyed an iced coffee with the family and sailed across the Trave on the Priwall ferry. And when you get to Priwall, you'll be amazed at what the area has become. Lots of buildings that accommodate holiday guests; small shops; a market hall; Mr. Henssler's AHOI Restaurant and the SEGLERMESSE.

This was also presented by NDR some time ago. The marina has become huge and at the end is the PASSAT. FIETE, the last sailor of the Passat, is still standing in front of it, looking at the mouth of the Trave and the Baltic Sea. There was no breeze between the houses and it was almost uncomfortably hot. A small beer in the sailing fair and back on the ferry. It was after 6 p.m. and there was still a lot of activity on the beach and in the water. We settled on fish and chips with a small beer and the day came to an end. I am almost certain that this was a beautiful day for EVERYONE.

See you soon
