first of all I was very happy that more people than expected actually read about my first impressions of Mexico (or maybe they just hit the link by accident). No matter how you got here, I'm glad you did.
Today I arrived on an island called Cozumel, where I will actually stay for the next few weeks until I head off to Mexico City. But I'd rather start where I left off....
There I was in Playa del Carmen still trying to figure out what I actually expected from this journey and still waiting for the moment when people would actually stop asking me the same questions: 'You're traveling alone?' and 'Aren't you scared?' . What do they expect me to say...'Oh hey...now that you mentioned it, you're right... I'm scared of everything and maybe I should just take the next flight home because at home bad things don't happen...they only happen when you travel'.
But alright, a lot of people ask things without actually wanting to know the answer. They just live in their own little universe where only all-in holidays exist. No offense, It is a great thing once in a while but is it so hard to believe that there are people out there who want to see more than just their back yard. I feel myself getting really annoyed when people don't think outside of the box and since this is my blog - I thought why not write it down where people most likely share my opinion.- So now that I've let my steam off, I can continue to write about things that really matter....
Like an adapter for the different types of sockets, in different countries. You might laugh but if I didn't bring one, I would not be able to write these lines right now.
You might have noticed by now that my blog is not just telling you about the things going on over here, but also I'm trying to remind you of things that might be helpful for your next journey...maybe something like a pack list.
I also wouldn't be able to charge my camera, which brings me to another story.
