Lapseki - Nusratli

07.04.2024: The night was not restful in the parking lot in Lapseki; it was very loud and the police often patrolled past with blue lights flashing. We were therefore alert with one ear and one eye and half expected to be turned away. So we got up early after the first muezzin call and continued on, first stop was Canakkale to go shopping (despite it being Sunday, most shops were open). Then we continued south, through hilly land with olive groves, fruit trees and fields. The people here seem to be very poor. On the one hand, we are increasingly disturbed by the almost omnipresent surveillance (lots of video cameras along the roads and in settlements) and the garbage that is carelessly left lying around (not necessarily by tourists).
